First Reconciliation and Holy Communion
Important Dates
Parent meetings scheduled for:
May 2, 2021 at 9:15 am in Saint Isidore Hall
First Holy Communion Retreat
Saturday, May 15, 2021 from 2 pm – 6 pm in St. Isidore Hall. Your child will do their First Reconciliation on this day.
First Holy Communion Mass
We will have a First Communion practice with the students and sponsors on Friday, May 28, 2021 at 6 pm in Saint Dominic Church.
The First Holy Communion Mass is scheduled for Saturday, May 29, 2021 at the 3:30 p.m. Mass. Please meet in the church at 3:00 pm for group picture and to be seated.

Requirements for sponsors

Must be older than 16

It can be a single sponsor.

It is always required that one of the godparents be Catholic. If the partner of one of the godparents is not Catholic, he can attend but only as a witness.

Must have the sacraments of Christian Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and First Communion).

Sponsors can be two single people (if there are two, it has to be a woman and a man)
-
If any of the godparents is living with someone, they must be married by the Church; even if only he / she is the godfather.

Present a copy of marriage license

Must be practicing his faith.

Take your preparation classes.

If the classes are taken in another parish, the voucher must be brought.

If the godparents come from another parish, they have to bring a letter from their parish priest specifying that they can be baptismal sponsors.

Be members of our parish or another Catholic parish.
Requisitos para los padrinos

Ser mayor de 16 años

Puede ser un solo padrino, una sola madrina o ambos (si son dos, tiene que ser mujer y hombre).

Siempre se requiere que uno de los padrinos sea católico. Si la pareja de uno de los padrinos no es católica, puede asistir, pero únicamente como testigo.

Debe de tener los sacramentos de Iniciación Cristiana (Bautismo, Confirmación y Primera Comunión).

Los padrinos pueden ser dos personas solteras.

Si alguno de los padrinos está viviendo con alguien, tienen que estar casados por la Iglesia; aunque solamente él/ella sea el padrino

Que practique su fe.

Tomar sus clases de preparación.

Si las clases se toman en otra parroquia, hay que traer el comprobante.

Si los padrinos vienen de otra parroquia, tienen que traer una carta de su párroco especificando que pueden ser padrinos de

Ser miembros de nuestra parroquia u otra parroquia católica.
